This policy explains what personal information Skyline Business collects through our website and mobile applications, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.
We keep this policy as plain as we can. In short: we collect what is needed to run a reading app that works, we do not sell your personal information, and you can ask us to access, correct or delete it at any time.
Skyline Business (“Skyline Business”, “we”, “us”) develops and operates mobile reading applications and the website at sky-linebusiness.com.
For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, the data controller is [Registered Company Name], registered at [Registered Address], company registration number [Registration Number]. If a representative or data protection officer is required in your jurisdiction, their details will be published in this section before data processing begins in that market.
Questions about this policy can be sent to info@sky-linebusiness.com.
This policy applies to:
It does not apply to third-party services you reach from our apps or website, including app stores, payment processors, social platforms and advertising or analytics providers. Those parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information collected automatically when you use an App or the website, and information we receive from platform partners such as app stores.
We may receive limited information from app stores, payment processors, analytics and attribution partners, and rights holders. This is typically confirmation of a purchase, aggregate campaign performance data, or content rights metadata — not additional personal profiles.
| Category | Why we use it | Legal basis (EU/UK) | Typical retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account identifiers | Create and secure your account; sync progress across sessions | Performance of a contract | Life of the account |
| Device & technical data | Compatibility, crash diagnosis, abuse prevention | Legitimate interests | Up to 24 months |
| Advertising identifier | Attribution of installs and ad measurement, only with your consent where required | Consent | Up to 24 months, or until consent is withdrawn |
| Usage & reading data | Recommendations, catalog planning, quality of service | Legitimate interests | Up to 36 months in identifiable form |
| Purchase records | Deliver unlocks, prevent payment fraud, meet tax and accounting duties | Contract; legal obligation | As required by tax law |
| Support correspondence | Resolve your request and keep a service history | Contract; legitimate interests | Up to 24 months |
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising except where you have been given the choice and have opted in.
On the website we use cookies and local storage for strictly necessary purposes such as remembering your language and session state. Where we use analytics or measurement cookies, we ask for your consent first in regions where that is required, and you can withdraw it at any time.
In our Apps, we use locally stored identifiers and platform SDKs rather than browser cookies. You can reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device settings (iOS: Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Privacy → Ads). Disabling tracking does not remove advertising from a free experience, but it makes the ads you see less relevant.
| Type | Purpose | Can you refuse? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, load balancing, session continuity, language | No — the site cannot function without them |
| Analytics | Aggregate traffic and feature usage measurement | Yes, via consent banner or browser settings |
| Measurement / attribution | Knowing which campaign brought an install | Yes, via consent or device settings |
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
Our Apps integrate third-party software development kits for analytics, crash reporting, attribution and advertising. These providers may receive device identifiers, IP address and interaction events. The current categories are listed below; the specific provider names and their privacy policy links are published in the App Store and Google Play listings and in the in-app About → Third-party services screen.
| Category | What it does | Data typically involved |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics & crash reporting | Understand feature usage and stability | Device data, app events, crash traces |
| Attribution | Identify which marketing source produced an install | Advertising identifier, IP address, install event |
| Advertising | Serve and measure advertising in free tiers | Advertising identifier, ad interaction events |
| Push notifications | Deliver content and service notifications | Push token, device platform |
| Purchases | Validate in-app transactions | Order token, product identifier |
Replace the categories above with the exact SDK vendors you ship, and keep the list in sync with the Data Safety declarations in Google Play and App Privacy answers in App Store Connect. Store reviewers compare the two.
All purchases in our Apps are processed by the platform store through which you installed the App — Apple for iOS, Google for Android. We receive a transaction record and an order token, and we use these to credit your account and to detect fraudulent purchase patterns.
We never receive your full payment card details. Billing, refunds and chargebacks are handled under the applicable store's own policies, which are separate from this Privacy Policy.
We operate services used across many countries, so your information may be processed outside the country in which you live, including in jurisdictions whose data protection laws differ from your own.
Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism — typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision — together with supplementary technical and organizational measures such as encryption in transit and access controls.
You may request a copy of the transfer mechanism applicable to your data by writing to info@sky-linebusiness.com.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Retention periods vary by data type and are summarized in the table in section 3, with the following general rules:
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymize it.
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls limited to personnel who need the data, environment separation between development and production, logging of administrative access, and vendor review before integration.
No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs and meets the legal threshold, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access | Confirm whether we process your personal information and receive a copy. |
| Correction | Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected. |
| Deletion | Request erasure of information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep. |
| Portability | Receive information you provided in a structured, machine-readable format. |
| Objection & restriction | Object to processing based on legitimate interests, or ask us to restrict it. |
| Withdraw consent | Withdraw any consent you gave — for example for personalized advertising — at any time. |
| Opt out of sharing/sale | Direct us not to sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information. |
To exercise a right, email info@sky-linebusiness.com with enough detail for us to locate your account and verify your identity. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law — generally 30 days under the GDPR and 45 days under the CCPA/CPRA, extendable where the law permits.
If you are in the EEA/UK and believe we have handled your information unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency.
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age.
Where a title includes mature themes, an age gate is presented before the content is accessed. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact info@sky-linebusiness.com and we will delete the account and associated data promptly.
Where local law requires verifiable parental consent before processing a minor's data, we do not process that data until such consent is obtained.
Browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting, and some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We honour GPC in respect of cookies and similar technologies on this website. Because DNT has no common industry standard, the website does not alter its behaviour in response to a DNT signal alone; you can manage non-essential cookies through the consent controls.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, or the law. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects your rights, provide notice in the App or by email before it takes effect.
Continuing to use our services after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy. If you do not agree, you may stop using the services and request deletion of your account.
For any question, request or complaint about privacy, or to exercise a right described above:

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service. Definitions used but not defined here have the meaning given in those Terms.
